STORMPAY.COM WEEKLY RACING SERIES ROUND UP FOR SEPTEMBER 24

CARTERSVILLE, GA – Curtis Cline of Douglasville, GA and Jack Daughtry of Greenville, AL picked up StormPay.com Weekly Racing Series wins on Saturday night. Cline took his fourth win of the season in East Region action at Talladega Short Track in Eastaboga , AL . Daughtry posted his first win of the season at Butler County Motorsports Park in Greenville, AL in the South Region.

There was limited action in Week 26 of the StormPay.com Weekly Racing Series, as the West Region was off due to the StormPay.com Dirt Late Model Series National Touring event at Twin Cities Raceway Park in North Vernon, IN, and there were five rain outs due to Tropical Depression #10 in the South Region.

With one week remaining in the 2007 StormPay.com Weekly Racing Series season, there are still many spots up for grabs in the top six point fund paying positions in the East, West and South Regions.

Logan Yates of Delta, AL continues to lead the StormPay.com Weekly Racing Series East Region with 780 points based on his top 16 finishes in 19 starts. Jimmy Elkins Jr. of Talladega, AL is second with 717 points based on his top 16 finishes in 28 starts, and Adam Martin of Talladega, AL is third with 701 points based on his top 16 finishes in 19 starts.

Chad Wallace of LaGrange, GA is fourth in the StormPay.com WRS East Region with 692 points based on his top 16 finishes in 23 starts, and Cline holds down the fifth spot with 681 points based on his top 16 finishes in 18 starts. Dustin Stewart of Eastaboga, AL is sixth with 665 points based on his top 16 finishes in 19 starts.

Darel Ownby of Calhoun, GA is seventh with 626 points in 15 starts, and he still has the final week of the StormPay.com Weekly Racing Series season to move into the top six in the East Region by earning full points. Marc Gooden of Lafayette, AL is eighth with 609 points based on his top 16 finishes in 18 starts.

Corey Korreckt of Lincoln, AL is ninth in the East Region standings with 592 points based on his top 16 finishes in 19 starts, and Parrish Duncan of Newnan, GA rounds out the top ten in the StormPay.com Weekly Racing Series East Region with 582 points in 15 starts.

The final event to earn 2007 StormPay.com Weekly Racing Series East Region points will be this Saturday night at Talladega Short Track.

Lucky Keeton of Toomsuba, MS has all but won his second straight StormPay.com Weekly Racing Series West Region Championship with 786 points based on his top 16 finishes in 25 starts, but the second through sixth spots changed hands over the weekend, as three drivers picked up ten bonus points for participating in the StormPay.com DLMS National Touring event over the weekend at Twin Cities Raceway Park.

Brandon Keeton of Toomsuba, MS moved up to the second spot behind his dad with 717 points based on his top 16 finishes in 18 starts with his trip to the Hoosier State. Steve Godsey of Bedford, IN moved up to the third spot with 709 points in 16 starts.

Terry Mosley of Gilbertville, AL made the trip to Indiana over the weekend to move from sixth to fourth with 708 points based on his top 16 finishes in 17 starts. Larry Murphy of Meridian, MS is fifth with 701 points based on his top 16 finishes in 17 starts, and Jamie Pickard of Columbus, MS is sixth with 699 points in 16 starts.

Herman Reynolds of Laurel, MS is seventh in the StormPay.com WRS West Region points with 664 points based on his top 16 finishes in 24 starts, and Dallas Mozingo of Laurel, MS is eighth with 646 points based on his top 16 finishes in 22 starts. Wiley Williams of Stonewall, MS is ninth with 632 points in 16 starts, and Mark Tice of Hollandale , MS is tenth with 614 points in 16 starts.

Two events remain in the final week of the StormPay.com Weekly Racing Series West Region. Twin Cities Raceway Park will be in action on Friday night, and Monticello Speedway in Monticello , AR will be in action on Saturday night.

Frank Wilson of Milton, FL appears to be on his way to the StormPay.com Weekly Racing Series South Region title, as the rainouts have hampered James Ussery’s charge through the top ten. Ussery of Cottondale, FL still has an opportunity to catch Josh Huss of Flomaton, AL for the second spot in the final week.

Wilson has 744 points based on his top 16 finishes in 41 starts, and Huss has 707 points based on his top 16 finishes based on his top 16 finishes in 26 starts. Ussery used his 16^th start of the season with a seventh-place effort on Saturday night at Butler County Motorsports Park in Greenville , AL to move into the third spot with 696 points.

Huss has a 38-point race to throw away, and Ussery’s lowest point race to throw out is a 34. Jonathan Joiner of Milton, FL is fourth with 684 points based on his top 16 finishes in 21 starts, and Donald Watson of Greenwell Springs, LA is fifth with 672 points based on his top 16 finishes in 21 starts.

There is a battle for the sixth and final points fund paying position in the StormPay.com Weekly Racing Series South Region between a pair of “Milton Mafia” members, Joshua Joiner of Milton, FL and Bobby Morrison of Milton, FL.

Joshua Joiner in the sixth spot has 669 points based on his top 16 finishes in 21 starts, and he has a 32-point race to throw out. Morrison is seventh with 666 points based on his top 16 finishes in 30 starts, and he has a 36-point race to throw out.

Ricky Haugen of Pace, FL is eighth with 647 points based on his top 16 finishes in 18 starts, and Richard Guidry of Port Allen, LA is ninth with 645 points based on his top 16 finishes in 20 starts. Chris Coggin of Orange Beach, FL rounds out the top ten in the StormPay.com Weekly Racing Series South Region with 631 points based on his top 16 finishes in 17 starts.

The five South Region rainouts over the weekend were Blackman Motor Speedway in Blackman, FL and Baton Rouge Raceway in Baton Rouge, LA on Friday night, and Southern Speedway in Milton, FL, Deep South Speedway in Loxley, AL, and A1 Raceway in Slidell, LA on Saturday night.

There will be four South Region points races this Saturday night at Pike County Speedway in McComb , MS , A1 Raceway , Deep South Speedway , and Southern Raceway.
