WEEKLY RACING SERIES ROUND UP FOR SEPTEMBER 3
CARTERSVILLE, GA – Mother Nature was the big winner in Week
23 of the StormPay.com Weekly Racing Series, as six races were rained
out. In limited action
this week, only three events, one in each region, were completed.
Jamie Pickard of Columbus, MS made the biggest move in the West
Region, winning on Sunday night at
Magnolia
Motor
Speedway
in
Columbus
,
MS
.
Pickard topped a 19-car field to climb into a tie for the
second spot in the StormPay.com Weekly Racing Series West Region point
standings. Pickard and
Steve Godsey of Bedford, IN each have 679 points.
Pickard, who posted his fifth series win on Sunday night, has
16 starts.
Godsey, who picked 10 bonus points for competing in the StormPay.com
DLMS National Touring event on Saturday night at Whynot Motorsports
Park in Meridian, MS, also has 16 starts in West Region competition.
Defending StormPay.com Weekly Racing Series West Region Champion
Lucky Keeton of Toomsuba, MS looks like he is on his way to his second
straight title, as he leads the standings with 786 points based on his
best 16 finishes in 24 starts. In
picking up his 10 bonus points at Whynot, Keeton started 20th
and finished fifth on Saturday night.
The second spot in the StormPay.com Weekly Racing Series West
Region is still up for grabs with just 15 points separating five
drivers.
Larry Murphy of Meridian, MS is fourth with 673 points in 16
starts, and Keeton’s son Brandon Keeton of Toomsuba, MS is fifth 671
points based on his best 16 finishes in 17 starts.
Terry Mosley of Gilbertown, AL is sixth with 664 points in 16
starts.
Herman
Reynolds of Laurel, MS is seventh with 658 points based on his best 16
finishes in 23 starts, and Dallas Mozingo of Laurel, MS is eighth with
646 points based on his best 16 finishes in 22 starts.
Shannon Lee of Lumberton, MS is ninth with 611 points based on
his best 16 finishes in 17 starts.
Mark Tice of Hollandale, MS rounds out the top ten in the West
Region with 604 points in 16 starts.
Darel Owenby of Calhoun, GA took his fifth StormPay.com Weekly
Racing Series East Region win of the season on Saturday night at
North
Georgia
Speedway
in
Chatsworth
,
GA.
Owenby climbed up to the eighth spot in the East Region with
592 points in 14 starts.
Logan Yates of Delta, AL leads the StormPay.com WRS East Region
with 770 points in 16 starts. Jimmy
Elkins Jr. of Talladega, AL is second with 693 points based on his
best 16 finishes in 25 starts, and Chad Wallace of LaGrange, GA is
third with 686 points based on his best 16 finishes in 20 starts.
Adam Martin of Talladega, AL is fourth in the East Region with
683 points in 16 starts, and Curtis Cline of Douglasville, GA is fifth
with 637 points in 16 starts. Dustin
Stewart of Eastaboga, AL is sixth with 631 points in 16 starts, and
Marc Gooden of Lafayette, AL is seventh with 597 points in 16 starts.

based on his best 16 finishes in 18 starts.
Frank Wilson of Milton, FL leads the StormPay.com WRS South
Region standings with 736 points based on his best 16 finishes in 37
starts, and Josh Huss of Flomaton, AL is second with 707 points based
on his best 16 finishes in 23 starts.
Bobby Morrison of Milton, FL leads a three driver logjam for
third with 664 points based on his best 16 finishes in 26 starts.

in fourth with 661 points based on his best 16 finishes in 18 starts,
and Watson.
Jonathan Joiner of Milton, FL is sixth with 635 points based on

Scott Sessions of Milton, FL is eighth with 620 points based on
his best 16 finishes in 26 starts.
Michael Santangelo of St. Rose, LA is ninth with 599 points
based on his best 16 finishes in 18 starts, and Ryan Little of
Satsuma, AL rounds out the top ten in the StormPay.com WRS South
Region with 581 points in 16 starts.
