STORMPAY.COM WEEKLY RACING SERIES ROUND UP FOR AUGUST 13

               CARTERSVILLE, GA – The highlights for Week 20 of the StormPay.com Weekly Racing Series had the defending StormPay.com Weekly Racing Series West Region Champion Lucky Keeton of Toomsuba, MS picking up three wins over two nights, and five drivers picking up their first wins of the season during competition on August 10 and 11.

                Keeton took two victories on Friday night at Southern Speedway in Hattiesburg, MS driving Herman Reynolds’ #9 Trak Star and then he drove his own #22 GRT to victory on Saturday night at Whynot Motorsports Park in Meridian, MS.  Keeton now has ten wins during the StormPay.com WRS season, and leads the West Region with 756 points based on his 16 best finishes in 20 starts.

                Reynolds of Laurel, MS is still second in the StormPay.com WRS West Region with 648 points based on his best 16 finishes in 21 starts, but he has been busy as car owner helping those he competed against earn points.

               Keeton took over the West Region point lead last week driving Reynolds’ race car, and this week the third place driver, Dallas Mozingo of Laurel, MS drove Reynolds’ #9 to a second-place finish at Whynot Motorsports Park.  With second and third-place finishes at Southern Speedway in his own race car, Mozingo was able to net some points to move closer to Reynolds in the points chase.

Mozingo now has 634 points based on his 16 best finishes in 19 starts.  Steve Godsey of Bloomington, IN is fourth in the StormPay.com WRS West Region with 621 points in 15 starts, and Larry Murphy of Meridian, MS is fifth with 591 points in 14 starts.  Jamie Pickard of Columbus, MS is sixth with 585 points in 14 starts, and Mark Tice of Hollandale, MS is seventh with 574 points in 15 starts.

 Jim Moon of Zionsville, IN picked up his second StormPay.com WRS West Region win of the season on Friday night at Union County Speedway in Liberty , IN , and moved up to eighth in West Region points with 555 in 14 starts.  Tony Shelton of Steens, MS is ninth with 541 points in 15 starts, and Brad Barrow of Bloomington, IN is tenth with 530 points in 12 starts.

 In other StormPay.com Weekly Racing Series West Region action over the weekend, Chris Reed of Sturgis , MS posted his first series win of the season on Saturday night at Columbus Speedway in Columbus , MS .  Steve Barnett of Franklin, IN took his second StormPay.com WRS West Region victory of the season on Saturday night at Brownstown Speedway in Brownstown , IN.

Logan Yates of Delta, AL continues to lead the StormPay.com Weekly Racing Series East Region with 722 points in 15 starts.  Jimmy Elkins Jr. of Talladega, AL is second with 678 points based on his 16 best finishes in 23 starts, and Chad Wallace of LaGrange, GA is third in the East Region with 670 points based on his 16 best finishes in 18 starts.

 Curtis Cline of Douglasville, GA captured his third StormPay.com WRS East Region win on Friday night at Penton Raceway in Penton , AL to move into a tie for the fourth spot in the East Region points with Adam Martin of Talladega , AL .  Each driver has 637 points, with Cline having 16 starts, and Martin having 15 starts.

 Dustin Stewart of Eastaboga, AL is sixth with 591 points in 15 starts, and Parrish Duncan of Newnan, GA is seventh with 582 points in 15 starts.  Darel Owenby of Calhoun, GA got credit for his July 13 win at North Georgia Speedway in Chatsworth, GA to move up to the eighth spot in the East Region with 552 points in 13 starts.

 Corey Korreckt of Lincoln, AL is ninth in the East Region with 546 points in 15 starts, and Marc Gooden of Lafayette, AL rounds out the top ten in the StormPay.com Weekly Racing Series East Region with 530 points in 14 starts.

 In other StormPay.com Weekly Racing Series East Region action over the weekend, Brandon Haley of Lavonia , GA took his third series win of the season on Friday night at Lavonia Speedway in Lavonia , GA , and John Owenby of Cleveland , TN was the winner for the second time this season on Friday night at North Georgia Speedway .  Jonathan Chapman of Eastaboga, AL was a first-time winner on Saturday night at Talladega Short Track in Eastaboga , AL .

Frank Wilson of Milton, FL continues to lead the StormPay.com Weekly Racing Series South Region with 730 points based on his best 16 finishes in 34 starts.  Josh Huss of Flomaton, AL is second with 703 points based on his best 16 finishes in 20 starts.  Bobby Morrison of Milton, FL is third with 664 points based on his best 16 finishes in 24 starts.

 A tight battle for the fourth spot has just six points separating three drivers.  Donald Watson of Greenwell Springs, LA is fourth with 618 points in 15 starts, with Scott Sessions of Milton, FL in the fifth spot with 617 points based on his best 16 finishes in 24 starts, and Joshua Joiner of Milton, FL is sixth with 612 points in 16 starts.

 Richard Guidry of Port Allen, LA is seventh with 591 points in 16 starts, and Michael Santangelo of St. Rose, LA moved up to the eighth spot after his third win of the season on Saturday night at A1 Raceway in Slidell , LA.   Santangelo has 578 points in 16 starts. 

 Jonathan Joiner of Milton, FL picked up his second series win of the season on Saturday night at Southern Raceway in Milton , FL.   Joiner has moved up to the ninth spot in the StormPay.com WRS South Region with 572 points in 15 starts.  Ricky Haugen of Pace, FL rounds out the top ten in the StormPay.com WRS South Region with 561 points in 14 starts.

In other StormPay.com Weekly Racing Series South Region action over the weekend, James Ussery of Cottondale , FL took his fifth series win of the season on Friday night at Blackman Motor Speedway in Blackman , FL.   There were three first-time winners in the South Region on Saturday night.

 Mark Chamel of Hammond, LA was the winner at Pike County Speedway in McComb, MS, Larry Lambeth of Flomaton, AL took the victory at Deep South Speedway in Loxley, AL, and Jimmy Thagard of Greenville, AL captured the win at Butler County Motorsports Park in Greenville, AL.
