STORMPAY.COM WEEKLY RACING SERIES ROUND UP FOR JULY 30

               CARTERSVILLE, GA – The defending StormPay.com Weekly Racing Series West Region Champion Lucky Keeton of Toomsuba, MS took over the point lead in the StormPay.com WRS West Region on Friday night with his sixth win of the season at Southern Speedway in Hattiesburg, MS.  Keeton took over the point lead from Herman Reynolds of Laurel, MS.

               Ironically, Keeton passed Reynolds for the point lead while driving Reynolds’ #9 Trak Star.  Keeton now has 683 points in 15 starts, while Reynolds drops to second-place in the StormPay.com WRS West Region with 648 points based on his 16 best finishes in 20 starts.

                Southern Speedway will host StormPay.com WRS West Region double-points event on August 10 and 24 in an effort to make up for several rainouts this season.

                Dallas Mozingo of Laurel, MS is third in the StormPay.com Weekly Racing Series West Region point standings with 533 points in 14 starts, and Larry Murphy of Meridian, MS is fourth with 521 points in 12 starts.

                Indiana driver Steve Godsey picked up his third StormPay.com WRS West Region win of the season on Saturday night at Twin Cities Raceway Park in North Vernon , IN to climb into the fifth spot of the West Region points with 498 in 12 starts.  Mark Tice of Hollandale, MS is sixth with 496 points in 13 starts, and Jim Moon of Zionsville, IN is seventh with 479 points in 12 starts.

                Jamie Pickard of Columbus, MS took his fourth StormPay.com Weekly Racing Series West Region win of the season on Saturday night at Columbus, MS, and is eighth in the points chase with 465 points in 11 starts.  Jamey Smith of Purvis, MS is ninth with 446 points in 11 starts, and Roger Rollison of Meridian, MS rounds out the top ten with 441 points in 12 starts.

                In other StormPay.com Weekly Racing Series West Region action over the weekend, open-wheel modified graduate Greg Dedwylder of Meridian, MS picked up his first win of the season on Saturday night at Whynot Motorsports Park in Meridian, MS in only his second time in a dirt late model.

                The point battle in the StormPay.com Weekly Racing Series East Region tightened up over the weekend with the top three in points, taking top two finishes.  Jimmy Elkins Jr. of Talladega, AL took a second place finish on Saturday night at Talladega Short Track in Eastaboga , AL , and has now netted 672 points based on his top 16 finishes in 21 starts.

                Chad Wallace of LaGrange, GA and Logan Yates of Delta, AL, who are second and third respectively in the StormPay.com WRS East Region, moved closer to Elkins, as both drivers posted wins over the weekend.  Wallace took his sixth win of the season on Friday night at Penton Raceway in Penton , AL , and Yates recorded win number nine on Saturday night at Talladega Short Track.

                Wallace has 649 points in 15 starts, and Yates has 640 points in just 13 starts.  Adam Martin of Talladega, AL is fourth with 547 points in 13 starts, and Curtis Cline of Douglasville, GA is fifth with 521 points in 13 starts.

                Parrish Duncan of Newnan, GA is sixth in the StormPay.com Weekly Racing Series East Region points with 514 points in 13 starts, and Dustin Stewart of Eastaboga, AL is seventh with 499 points in 13 starts.  Corey Korreckt of Lincoln, AL is eighth with 476 points in 13 starts.

                 Darel Ownbey of Calhoun, GA is ninth with 441 points in 10 starts.  Ownbey could move up in the points, as StormPay.com Weekly Racing Series officials are still waiting for North Georgia Speedway in Chatsworth, GA to report the finish of the July 13 event.  Marc Gooden of Lafayette, AL rounds out the top ten in the StormPay.com WRS East Region point standings with 423 points in 11 starts.

 John Ownby of Cleveland, TN picked up the StormPay.com WRS East Region win on Friday night at North Georgia Speedway .

 The leader of the “Milton Mafia” Frank Wilson of Milton, FL netted some more points on Friday night with a second-place finish at Blackman Motor Speedway in Blackman, FL to continue to lead the StormPay.com Weekly Racing Series South Region with 712 points based on his top 16 finishes in 30 starts.

 Josh Huss of Flomaton, AL is second with 683 points in 16 starts.  Huss is right in the middle of a “Milton Mafia” jam fest in the top ten of the StormPay.com Weekly Racing Series South Region, as the third through fifth-place drivers, and the eighth-place driver all receive their mail in Milton, FL.

 Bobby Morrison of Milton, FL is third with 640 points based on his 16 best finishes in 21 starts, and Scott Sessions of Milton, FL is fourth with 615 points based on his 16 best finishes in 21 starts.

 Joshua Joiner of Milton, FL moved up to the fifth spot in the StormPay.com Weekly Racing Series South Region points chase with his fourth series win of the season on Friday night at Blackman Motor Speedway.  Joiner has 540 points in 14 starts.

 Dewayne Morris of River Falls, AL is sixth with 531 points based on his 16 best finishes in 21 starts, and Richard Guidry of Port Allen, LA is seventh with 519 points in 13 starts.  Taylor Jarvis of Milton, FL is tied for the eighth spot with Chris Coggin of Orange Beach, AL with 518 points.  Jarvis’ total is based on his best 16 finishes in 17 starts, and Coggin has 13 starts.  Michael Santangelo of St. Rose, LA is tenth in the South Region with 508 points in 14 starts.

 In other StormPay.com Weekly Racing Series South Region action over the weekend, Larry Cifra Jr. of Moss Point, MS took his third straight win of the season on Saturday night at Deep South Speedway in Loxley, AL, and Bert Tompkins of Fitzpatrick, AL won for the third time this season on Saturday night at Butler County Motorsports Park in Greenville, AL.

 Curt Lipsey of McComb, MS drove to his second series win of the season at Pike County Speedway in McComb, MS on Saturday night, and Jeff Danos of Mandeville , LA took his first win of the season on Saturday night at A1 Raceway in Slidell , LA.   Baton Rouge Raceway in Baton Rouge, LA was rained out on Friday night.
