STORMPAY.COM WEEKLY RACING SERIES ROUND UP FOR JULY 23

                CARTERSVILLE, GA – The defending StormPay.com Weekly Racing Series West Region Champion Lucky Keeton of Toomsuba, MS is one race away from taking over the point lead in that region, as the current point leader, Herman Reynolds of Laurel, MS, has announced that he will sit out for a few weeks due to health reasons.

                While Reynolds is not driving, his car is still racing.  Scott Dedwylder of Vossburg , MS drove Reynolds’ #9 Trak Star to victory on Saturday night at Whynot Motorsports Park in Meridian , MS .

                Reynolds, with 648 points based on his top 16 finishes in 20 starts, leads Keeton, who has 643 points in 14 starts, by five points after StormPay.com Weekly Racing Series Week 16 competition.  Keeton can take over the point lead this weekend, as the points structure awards a minimum 25 points for attempting to race.

                Frank Wilson of Milton, FL used a second and fifth-place finish in two events over the weekend to pad his StormPay.com Weekly Racing Series South Region points lead.  Wilson has been the busiest driver in the first 16 weeks of StormPay.com Weekly Racing Series action, competing in 29 events and earning 704 points based on his best 16 finishes.

                Jimmy Elkins Jr. of Talladega, AL continues to lead the StormPay.com Weekly Racing Series East Region, picking up ten bonus points by competing in one of two StormPay.com Dirt Late Model Series National Touring events in the Region this past weekend.  Elkins now has 664 points based on his best 16 finishes in 20 starts.

               Tracks in the East Region took the weekend off due to National Touring events on Friday night at Penton Raceway in Penton , AL , and East Alabama Motor Speedway in Phenix City , AL on Saturday night.  Drivers received ten bonus points in the East Region for each of those events they competed in over the weekend.

The rest of the top ten in the StormPay.com Weekly Racing Series West Region are Dallas Mozingo of Laurel, MS in the third spot with 498 points in 13 starts, and Mark Tice of Hollandale, MS took the win on Saturday night at Monticello Speedway in Monticello, AR to move up to the fourth spot with 496 points in 13 starts.  It was Tice’s third series win of the season.

Larry Murphy of Meridian, MS is fifth in the West Region with 473 points in 11 starts, while sixth and seventh belong to Hoosier State drivers Steve Godsey with 456 points in 11 starts, and Jim Moon of Zionsville, IN with 449 points in 11 starts.  Jamie Pickard of Columbus, MS is eighth with 419 points in 10 starts, and Roger Rolison of Meridian, MS is ninth with 411 points in 11 starts.  Jamey Smith of Purvis, MS rounds out the top ten with 408 points in ten starts.

Josh Huss of Flomaton, AL is second in the StormPay.com WRS South Region points with 641 points in 15 starts, while “Milton Mafia” members Bobby Morrison and Scott Sessions join Wilson as drivers from Milton , FL in the top four of the Region points chase.

Morrison is third with 640 points based on his best 16 finishes in 21 starts, and Sessions is fourth with 615 points based his best 16 finishes in 21 starts.  Dewayne Morris of River Falls, AL is fifth with 525 points with his best 16 finishes in 19 starts.  Richard Guidry of Port Allen, LA is sixth with 519 points in 13 starts, and Taylor Jarvis of Milton, FL is seventh with 518 points in 17 starts.

Joshua Joiner has become the fifth “Milton Mafia” member to ride in the top ten of the StormPay.com Weekly Racing Series South Region.  Joiner took his third win of the season on Saturday night at Southern Raceway in Milton , FL to climb into the eighth spot with 490 points in 13 starts.

 Chris Coggin of Orange Beach, AL took his fifth win of the season on Saturday night at Butler County Motorsports Park in Greenville , AL to move up to the ninth spot in the StormPay.com WRS South Region points with 486 in 12 starts.  Danny Joe Thomas of Foley, AL rounds out the top ten in the StormPay.com WRS South Region with 480 points in 12 starts.

In other StormPay.com Weekly Racing Series South Region action over the weekend, James Ussery picked up his third straight win at Blackman Motor Speedway in Blackman, FL on Friday night, and another driver picking up his third straight series win was Shannon Lee of Lumberton, MS on Saturday night at A1 Raceway in Lumberton, MS.  Larry Cifra Jr. of Moss Point, MS was the winner for the second week in a row at Deep South Speedway in Loxley, AL.

Chad Wallace of La Grange, GA netted 20 bonus points in the StormPay.com WRS East Region to move within 55 points of Elkins.  Wallace has 609 points in 14 starts to hold the second spot in the region.  Logan Yates of Delta, AL picked up ten bonus points to bring his third-place total to 594 points in 12 starts.

Adam Martin of Talladega, AL is fourth with 517 points in 12 starts after picking up his ten bonus points by competing in one of the two StormPay.com DLMS National Touring events over the weekend.  Curtis Cline of Douglasville, GA used his 20 bonus points over the weekend to climb up to the fifth spot with 484 points in 12 starts.

Parrish Duncan of Newnan, GA collected ten bonus points over the weekend to bring his tally to 478 points in 12 starts.  Dustin Stewart of Eastaboga, AL is seventh with 457 points in 12 starts, and Corey Korreckt of Lincoln, AL used ten bonus points to bring his eighth-place total to 443 points in 12 starts. 

Keith Freeman of Commerce, GA is ninth with 418 points in 11 starts, and Jimmy Kay of Taylorsville, GA used his 20 bonus points over the weekend to move into the top ten of the StormPay.com Weekly Racing Series East Region points with 406 in ten starts.
