WEEKLY RACING SERIES ROUND UP FOR JULY 9
CARTERSVILLE, GA – The 15th week of the
StormPay.com Weekly Racing Series saw a limited schedule due to the
July 4th Holiday weekend and Mother Nature.
Just three StormPay.com Weekly Racing Series tracks saw action
over the weekend, while five tracks took the weekend off, and six
tracks were rained out.
Indiana’s Brad Barrow picked up his third StormPay.com Weekly
Racing Series West Region win of the season on Saturday night at the
first-ever series event at Brownstown Speedway in Brownstown, IN.
Barrow topped an impressive 17-car field, as the Hoosier-state
StormPay.com Weekly Racing Series car count continues to grow.
“The StormPay.com Weekly Racing Series fields at Brownstown
Speedway, Twin Cities Raceway Park in North Vernon, IN, and Thunder
Valley Raceway in Salem, IN continue to be strong,” StormPay.com

expand the area into a separate region in 2008.”
The StormPay.com WRS West Region point standings didn’t
change much, as Southern Speedway in Hattiesburg, MS was off for the
weekend, while Columbus Speedway in Columbus, MS, Whynot Motorsports
Park in Meridian, MS, and Monticello Speedway in Monticello, AR were
rained out.
Herman
Reynolds of Laurel, MS leads the region with 648 points, followed by
the defending StormPay.com Weekly Racing Series West Region Champion
Lucky Keeton of Toomsuba, MS with 564 points.
Dallas Mozingo of Laurel, MS is third with 464 points, followed
by Jamey Smith of Purvis, MS and Mark Tice of Hollandale, MS tied for
fourth with 408 points apiece.
Larry Murphy of Meridian, MS is sixth in the StormPay.com
Weekly Racing Series West Region with 392 points, and Owen Stockstill
of Columbia, MS is seventh with 382 points.
Jim Moon of Zionsville, IN took advantage of double-points on
Saturday night at Brownstown Speedway to move up to the eighth spot in
the StormPay.com WRS West Region with 379 points.
Jamie Pickard of Columbus, MS is ninth with 377 points, and
Shannon Lee of Lumberton, MS rounds out the top ten with 371 points.
Frank Wilson of Milton, FL used a pair of second-place finishes
over the weekend to net a few more points to lead the StormPay.com
Weekly Racing Series South Region.
Wilson
has 692 points based on his 16 best finishes in 26 starts.
Bobby Morrison of Milton, FL is second with 564 points, and
Scott Sessions of Milton, FL is third with 614 points.
Josh Huss of Flomaton, AL is fourth with 595 points, and
Dewayne Morris of River Falls, AL is fifth with 518 points.
Taylor Jarvis of Milton, FL is sixth with 516 points, and
Richard Guidry of Port Allen, LA is seventh with 471 points.
Chris Coggin of Orange Beach, AL is eighth with 436 points, and
Michael Santangelo of St. Rose, LA is ninth with 413 points.
Kevin Maher of McDavid, FL moved into a tie with Danny Joe
Thomas of Foley, AL for the tenth spot in the StormPay.com Weekly
Racing Series South Region point standings.
Each driver has 412 points.
In StormPay.com Weekly Racing Series South Region action over
the weekend, James Ussery of Cottondale, FL picked up his second
straight series win in Friday night at Blackman Motor Speedway in
Blackman, FL. Mark Clifton
was the winner on Saturday night in his first StormPay.com Weekly
Racing Series race of the season at Southern Raceway in
Milton
,
FL.
Deep South Speedway in Loxley, AL, Pike County Speedway in
McComb, MS, and
A1
Raceway
in Slidell, LA were all rained out on Saturday night.
Tracks in the StormPay.com Weekly Racing Series East Region
took the holiday weekend off, but three top ten drivers did gain 10
bonus points by competing in the StormPay.com Dirt Late Model Series
National Touring event on Tuesday night at 411 Motor Speedway in
Knoxville, TN.
Jimmy Elkins Jr. of Talladega, AL continues to lead the
StormPay.com WRS East Region with 636 points, but Chad Wallace of
LaGrange, GA raced at 411 to bring his second-place total up to 549
points. Logan Yates of
Delta, AL is third with 538 points.
Curtis Cline used his 10 bonus points at 411 to move up to the
fourth spot in the StormPay.com WRS East Region point standings with
464 points, and Adam Martin of Talladega,
AL
dropped to fifth with 463 points.
Parrish Duncan of Newnan, GA is sixth with 432 points, and
Dustin Stewart of Eastaboga, AL is seventh with 419 points.
Darel Ownbey of Calhoun, GA is eighth with 401 points, and
Corey Korreckt of Lincoln, AL is ninth with 399 points.
Jimmy Kay of Taylorsville, GA used his 10 bonus points at 411
Motor
Speedway
to move into the tenth spot with 386 points.
