STORMPAY.COM WEEKLY RACING SERIES ROUND UP FOR JULY 2

CARTERSVILLE, GA – Week 14 of the StormPay.com Weekly Racing Series saw the point battles in the West, South and East Regions tighten up.  All three point leaders in each region have passed the 16-race mark and are now trying to net points, while drivers behind them are beginning to gain full race points.

A driver’s 16-best finishes count towards their season point total, and once a driver reaches that point in the season, they can begin to replace their worst finish up to that point with a higher race point total.

Herman Reynolds of Laurel, MS leads the StormPay.com Weekly Racing Series West Region with 648 points based on his 16-best finishes in 20 starts.  Reynolds did not start the main event on Friday night at Southern Speedway in Hattiesburg , MS , and therefore, did not net any points this week.

The defending StormPay.com Weekly Racing Series West Region Champion Lucky Keeton of Toomsuba, MS picked up his fifth series win on Saturday night at Whynot Motorsports Park in Meridian, MS to close within 84 points of Reynolds.  The biggest factor in that point deficit is that Keeton has only 12 starts so far this season.

Dallas Mozingo of Laurel, MS is third in the StormPay.com WRS West Region with 464 points in 12 starts.  A pair of drivers that posted wins in StormPay.com WRS West Region action over the weekend moved into a tie for the fourth spot.

Jamey Smith of Purvis, MS posted his first West Region win of the season on Friday night at Southern Speedway , and Mark Tice of Hollandale , MS won his second race of the season on Saturday night at Monticello Speedway in Monticello , AR.  Both drivers have 408 points with Smith having ten starts, and Tice has 11 starts.

Larry Murphy of Meridian, MS is sixth with 392 points in nine starts, and Owen Stockstill of Columbia, MS is seventh with 382 points in nine starts.  Jamie Pickard of Columbus, MS won his third race of the season on Saturday night at Columbus Speedway in Columbus, MS to move into the eighth-place in the West Region with 377 points in nine starts.

Shannon Lee of Lumberton, MS holds down the ninth spot with 371 points in ten starts, and Tony Shelton of Steens, MS moved into the top ten of the StormPay.com Weekly Racing Series West Region standings with 348 points in ten starts.  In other West Region action over the weekend, Steve Bryan of Meridian , MS took his first win of the season on Sunday night at Magnolia Motor Speedway in Columbus , MS .

Lee was also a winner in the StormPay.com Weekly Racing Series South Region over the weekend by taking his second win in a row on Saturday night at A1 Raceway in Slidell, LA.

Frank Wilson of Milton, FL netted points over the weekend in StormPay.com Weekly Racing Series South Region action with his sixth win of the season on Saturday night at Southern Raceway in Milton , FL.   Wilson leads the South Region with 681 points based on his best 16 finishes in 24 starts.

Members of the “Milton Mafia” now hold four of the first five spots in the StormPay.com Weekly Racing Series South Region.

Bobby Morrison of Milton, FL is 43 points behind Wilson in the South Region with 632 points in 17 starts.  Scott Sessions of Milton, FL is third with 609 points in 17 starts, and Josh Huss of Flomaton, AL is fourth with 513 points in just 12 starts.  Taylor Jarvis of Milton, FL moved into the top five with 486 points in 15 starts, and Dewayne Morris of River Falls, AL is sixth with 483 points in 15 starts.

Richard Guidry of Port Allen, LA posted his second win of the season on Friday night at Baton Rouge Raceway in Baton Rouge, LA to hold the seventh spot in the StormPay.com WRS South Region with 471 points in 12 starts.  Chris Coggin of Orange Beach, AL is eighth with 436 points in 11 starts, and Michael Santangelo of St. Rose, LA is ninth with 413 points in 11 starts.  Danny Joe Thomas of Foley, AL rounds out the top ten with 412 points in ten starts.

Jimmy Elkins Jr. of Talladega, AL continues to lead the StormPay.com Weekly Racing Series East Region with 636 points based on his 16 best finishes in 18 starts.  Chad Wallace of LaGrange, GA moved into the second spot, 97 points behind Elkins, with 539 points in 14 starts.  Logan Yates of Delta, AL is third with 538 points in just 11 starts.

Adam Martin of Talladega, AL is fourth in the StormPay.com WRS East Region with 463 points in 11 starts, and Curtis Cline of Douglasville, GA is fifth with 454 points in 12 starts.  Parrish Duncan of Newnan, GA is sixth with 432 points in 11 starts, and Dustin Stewart of Eastaboga, AL is seventh with 419 points in 11 starts.
