STORMPAY.COM WEEKLY RACING SERIES ROUND UP FOR MAY 21

               CARTERSVILLE , GA – The StormPay.com Weekly Racing Series eighth week of competition saw 14 events with eight first-time winners this season.  Jimmy Elkins Jr. of Talladega, AL, Herman Reynolds of Laurel, MS, and Frank Wilson of Milton, FL continue to lead their respective StormPay.com Weekly Racing Series Regional point standings.

                Elkins turned in a pair of top four finishes over the weekend in his 11^th and 12^th StormPay.com Weekly Racing Series East Region starts of the season on Friday night at Penton Raceway in Penton , AL and Talladega Short Track in Eastaboga , AL .  Elkins has accumulated 476 points in 12 starts.

                Logan Yates of Delta, AL picked up his fifth StormPay.com WRS win of the season on Saturday night at Talladega Short Track.  While Yates is second to Elkins in the East Region with 332 points, he only has seven starts.  In the StormPay.com Weekly Racing Series point standings, a driver’s top 16 finishes, plus bonus points for attending national events count towards their season total.

                Adam Martin of Talladega, AL is third in the East Region points chase with 305 points in seven starts, while Parrish Duncan of Newnan, GA is fourth with 304 points in eight starts, and Chad Wallace of LaGrange, GA is fifth with 267 points in seven starts.

                Darel Owenby of Calhoun, GA won his third StormPay.com Weekly Racing Series East Region victory of the season on Saturday night at North Georgia Speedway in Chatsworth , GA.   That moved Owenby up to the sixth spot in the East Region standings with 266 points in six starts.

                Corey Korreckt of Lincoln, AL is seventh in the StormPay.com WRS East Region standings with 257 points in seven starts, and Brandon Haley of Lavonia, GA is eighth with 233 points in six starts.  Jeremy Pruitt of Chattanooga, TN is ninth with 232 points in seven starts, and Curtis Cline of Douglasville, GA rounds out the top ten with 227 points in six starts.

                In other StormPay.com Weekly Racing Series action over the weekend, Anthony Meadows won his first StormPay.com Weekly Racing Series event of the season on Friday night at Penton Raceway.  Scott Morgan was another first time StormPay.com WRS winner on Saturday night at Lavonia Speedway in Lavonia , GA.

                The StormPay.com Weekly Racing Series East Region action will take place this Tuesday night at 411 Motor Speedway in Knoxville , TN.   All of the other StormPay.com Weekly Racing Series East Region tracks will be off this weekend due to the StormPay.com Dirt Late Model Series National Touring events at Cookeville Speedway in Cookeville, TN this Friday night, and at North Georgia Speedway this Saturday night.

                Reynolds had a pair of third-place finishes at Southern Speedway in Hattiesburg , MS on Friday night, and Whynot Motorsports Park in Meridian , MS on Saturday night to remain on top of the StormPay.com Weekly Racing Series West Region point standings with 397 points in 10 starts.  Reynolds leads Lucky Keeton of Toomsuba , MS by 53 points.

                Keeton, the defending StormPay.com Weekly Racing Series West Region Champion, finished second on Saturday night at Whynot Motorsports Park , and has 344 points in seven starts.  Owen Stockstill of Columbia, MS is third in the StormPay.com WRS West Region with 268 points in seven starts.

                Dallas Mozingo of Laurel, MS is fourth in the West Region with 244 points in six starts, and Jay Blair of Angie, LA is fifth in the StormPay.com Weekly Racing Series West Region point standings with 220 points in five starts.

                Mark Tice of Hollandale , MS posted his first StormPay.com Weekly Racing Series West Region win of the season on Saturday night at Monticello Speedway in Monticello , AL .  Tice climbed into the sixth spot in the West Region points with 193 points in five starts.

                Shannon Lee of Lumberton, MS is seventh in the West Region with 189 points in five starts, and Larry Murphy of Meridian, MS is eighth with 178 points in four starts.  Wiley Williams of Stonewall, MS is ninth with 168 points in four starts.  Jamey Smith of Purvis, MS and Lance Carroll of Bastrop, LA are tied for tenth, each with 163 points in four starts.

                In other StormPay.com Weekly Racing Series West Region action, Brad Barrow was a first-time winner on May 12 at Twin Cities Raceway Park in North Vernon , IN.   Jeremy Broadus was a first-time StormPay.com Weekly Racing Series winner on Friday night at Southern Speedway , and Terry Mosley of Gilbertown , AL won his second straight event on Saturday night at Whynot Motorsports Park .

                Wilson turned in a pair of top six finishes over the weekend to stay on top of the StormPay.com Weekly Racing Series South Region with 480 points in 12 starts.  Wilson finished sixth on Friday night at Blackman Motor Speedway in Blackman , FL , and fifth on Saturday night at Butler County Motorsports Park in Greenville , AL .

                Bobby Morrison of Milton, FL took his first StormPay.com Weekly Racing Series win of the season on Friday night at Blackman Motor Speedway to hold the second spot in the South Region points chase with 391 points in 10 starts.  Scott Sessions of Milton, FL has 372 points in 10 starts to give the “Milton Mafia” the top three spots in the South Region point standings.

                Dewayne Morris of River Falls, AL is fourth in the StormPay.com WRS South Region with 321 points in 10 starts.  Kevin Watts of Denham Springs, LA is fifth in the South Region with 306 points in eight starts, and Richard Guidry of Port Allen, LA is sixth with 276 points in seven starts.  Josh Huss of Flomaton, AL is seventh with 258 points in six starts.

                Taylor Jarvis of Milton, FL gives the “Milton Mafia” its fourth member in the top ten of the StormPay.com Weekly Racing Series South Region.  Jarvis is eighth with 255 points in eight starts.  Jerry Bevis of Zachary, LA is ninth with 232 points in six starts. 

                Wayne Cox of Livingston, LA and Robert Nevels of Denham Springs, LA are tied for the tenth spot in the StormPay.com Weekly Racing Series South Region point standings with 224 points apiece.  Cox has seven starts, and Nevels has six starts.

                In other StormPay.com Weekly Racing Series South Region action over the weekend, Donald Watson of Baton Rouge, LA won his second straight event on Friday night at Baton Raceway in Baton Rouge, LA, and Ryan Little of Satsuma, AL won his second straight race at Deep South Speedway in Loxley, AL.

               Chris Coggin of Orange Beach , AL picked up his second StormPay.com WRS South Region win of the season on Saturday night at Butler County Motorsports Park .  First time winners in the StormPay.com Weekly Racing Series South Region over the weekend were Michael Santangelo of St. Rose , LA on Saturday night at A1 Raceway in Slidell , LA , and Mickey Trosclair Jr. of Luling, LA on Saturday night at Pike County Speedway in McComb, MS.
