NEW MANAGEMENT AT TWIN CITIES RACEWAY PARK STAYS WITH STORMPAY.COM WRS

CARTERSVILLE, GA – Mason And Tawnya Fleetwood have taken over the promotional duties at Twin Cities Raceway Park in North Vernon, IN, and have chosen to keep the StormPay.com Weekly Racing Series sanction for its Crate Late Model Division in 2007.  The Twin Cities Raceway Park Crate Late Model Division will compete in 2007 under the rulebook of the StormPay.com Dirt Late Model Series.

As they have for the past six years, the Fleetwoods will also operate Thunder Valley Raceway in Salem , IN on Friday nights in conjunction with Twin Cities Raceway Park on Saturday nights.

The StormPay.com Weekly Racing Series 2007 season begins on March 30 and runs through September 30.  Competitors racing in StormPay.com Weekly Racing Series events at Twin Cities Raceway Park and Thunder Valley Raceway will not only be competing for the track point funds, but also StormPay.com Weekly Racing Series Regional points.

Twin Cities Raceway Park will host 16 StormPay.com Weekly Racing Series events in 2007, and Thunder Valley Raceway will host two StormPay.com Weekly Racing Series events in 2007.  A drivers’ best 16 finishes will count towards their StormPay.com Weekly Racing Series Regional point total.

“I have been involved in racing for over 20 years, working with my dad, Don Fleetwood, who owns Dasco Race Supply,” Mason Fleetwood said.  “We’re all about economy racing, so being involved with the StormPay.com Weekly Racing Series and their crate engine format is just what we needed to do.  Crate Late Models are in the building process here in Indiana , so we’re going to plant the seed, and watch it grow.”

The StormPay.com Dirt Late Model Series National Tour will also keep its two-day $5,000-to-win event in 2007 at Twin Cities Raceway Park, but with a new date.  The StormPay.com Dirt Late Model Series National Tour will make its first visit to Indiana on September 21-22.

The engines for the dirt late models competing with the StormPay.com Weekly Racing Series, and the StormPay.com Dirt Late Model Series National Tour are GM Performance Crate Engines.  They are built and sealed at the factory to prevent competitors from making any expensive modifications.

The GM Performance Crate engines are shipped to GM Dealers throughout the country, and are readily available to be picked up and placed in the race car the same day.  The aluminum-head 400 horsepower 604 engine sells for right at $5,000, and the steel-head 350 horsepower 602 engine sells for right at $3,000.  The 602 engine also gets a 150-pound weight break.

“Mason, Tawnya, and the Fleetwood family are all about racing, and they share our enthusiasm and commitment to the growth of Crate Late Model racing in weekly racing,” StormPay.com Racing President of Operations and Communications Roby Helm said.  “The Hoosier State has always been synonymous with racing, and we’re excited and honored that the Fleetwoods have given the StormPay.com Dirt Late Model Series an opportunity to be a part of this rich tradition.”

Helm said in addition to the track and point funds for the competitors, the StormPay.com Dirt Late Model Series will also offer Twin Cities Raceway Park and Thunder Valley Raceway technical and public relations support.
