Deep South Speedway in Loxley, AL will highlight the NeSmith
Chevrolet Weekly Racing Series Late Models for its weekly shows in 2012.
Drivers in the NeSmith Chevrolet WRS Late Model Division at Deep
South Speedway will compete for both a track and national point fund in
2012.
Deep South Speedway returns to the
NeSmith Chevrolet Weekly Racing Series after being a part of the series in
2007. Track owner Casey Hinds
is happy to have the NeSmith Chevrolet Weekly Racing Series back at the
4/10-mile high-banked clay oval for several reasons.
“Signing on with the NeSmith Chevrolet
Weekly Racing Series is going to be good for the track, the fans, and the
racers,” Hinds said. “The
crate late models have put on some of the best races Deep South Speedway
has ever had, which is good for the fans, and the drivers are going to
benefit from what the series has to offer with point funds, good tech, and
publicity.”
On Saturday nights, weekly crate late
model drivers at Deep South Speedway will compete for National points
through a points system against drivers at other NeSmith Chevrolet Weekly
Racing Series tracks throughout the country without having to leave their
home track.
The 2012 NeSmith Chevrolet WRS National
Point Fund will payback through the Top 10 positions in the standings at
the end of the season. NeSmith
Chevrolet Weekly Racing Series drivers will compete in a 27-week season,
with their best 14 week finishes counting towards their season total.
The 2012 NeSmith Chevrolet Weekly Racing Series season will run
from March 26 through September 30.
