SPOTLIGHT – CLAYHILL MOTORSPORTS
Clayhill Motorsports in Atwood, TN is one of eight new weekly
tracks for the 2012 NeSmith Chevrolet Weekly Racing Series.
Drivers in the Crate Late Model Division at Clayhill Motorsports
will compete for a weekly track point fund and a National point fund that
pays $10,000 to the National Champion.
The addition of Clayhill Motorsports to
the NeSmith Chevrolet Weekly Racing Series family of weekly dirt tracks,
gives the series its first track in the West Tennessee market area where
the economical form of dirt late model racing is quickly beginning to grow
in popularity.
The NeSmith Chevrolet Dirt Late Model
Series Tour will also visit Clayhill Motorsports on Saturday night, May 5
with a 50-lap $2,500-to-win main event.
This race will be held in conjunction with a Friday night, May 4
$2,000-to-win race at Malden Speedway in Malden, MO, another NeSmith
Chevrolet Weekly Racing Series sanctioned track.
Drivers at Clayhill Motorsports on
Saturday nights will compete against drivers at other NeSmith Chevrolet
Weekly Racing Series tracks through the country each weekend during a
27-week season from April 6, 2012 through October 7, 2012 through a points
system. A competitor’s best
14 weekly point totals will count towards their National point total.
Clayhill Motorsports will operate on Saturday nights and is located
three miles north of Atwood, TN on Rimmer Road.
