               CARTERSVILLE , GA – Week 10 of the 2010 NeSmith Chevrolet Weekly Racing Series season will feature a busy schedule with 13 events on tap.  There are eight races on the West Region Week 10 schedule and five races in the East Region.

               The NeSmith Chevrolet Weekly Racing Series West Region Week 10 action opens on Friday night with four races to be hosted by Central Mississippi Speedway in Winona, MS, Hattiesburg Motorsports Park in Hattiesburg, MS, Jackson Motor Speedway in Jackson, MS, and North Alabama Speedway in Tuscumbia, AL.

               Saturday night NeSmith Chevrolet WRS West Region Week 10 competition will be held at A1 Raceway in Slidell, LA, Greenville Speedway in Greenville, MS, Magnolia Motor Speedway in Columbus, MS, and Whynot Motorsports Park in Meridian, MS.

               NeSmith Chevrolet Weekly Racing Series East Region events for Week 10 begin on Friday night at Penton Raceway in Penton , AL .  East Region races are scheduled this Saturday night at East Alabama Motor Speedway in Phenix City, AL with a 30-lap $1,000-to-win race, Flomaton Speedway in Flomaton, AL with a $1,000-to-win race, Mountain Raceway Park in Maryville, TN , and Talladega Short Track in Eastaboga, AL.

               The NeSmith Chevrolet Dirt Late Model Series National Touring events paying bonus Regional points that were scheduled for this Friday night at Penton Raceway and this Saturday night at East Alabama Motor Speedway have been postponed and rescheduled for June 18 at Penton Raceway and June 19 at East Alabama Motor Speedway.

               Three-time and defending NeSmith Chevrolet Weekly Racing Series West Region Champion Lucky Keeton of Toomsuba, MS leads the West Region standings followed by Johnny Stokes of Columbus, MS, and Shay Knight of Ethelsville, MS.  Tony Lawson of Laurel, MS is in the fourth spot, and Cliff Williams of Star, MS rounds out the top five in the West Region standings.

               Chase Edge of Lafayette, AL is the NeSmith Chevrolet WRS East Region point leader.  Challengers behind the 17-year-old point leader are second place driver Richie Stephens of Phenix City, AL, Ryan King of Anniston, AL is in the third spot, Dana Eiland of Salem, AL is fourth, and Craig Scott of Newnan, GA rounds out the top five in the East Region point standings.
