CHEVROLET WEEKLY RACING SERIES WEEK 6 PREVIEW
CARTERSVILLE, GA – The NeSmith Chevrolet Weekly Racing Series
Week 6 competition will feature 14 events on the schedule with seven races
in the West Region, and seven races in the East Region.
The NeSmith Chevrolet Dirt Late Model Series National Tour will
also be in action on Friday and Saturday nights where drivers can earn up
to 50 bonus points.
The NeSmith Chevrolet Weekly Racing Series West Region will open
for business on Friday night with events scheduled for Batesville Motor
Saturday night NeSmith Chevrolet Weekly Racing Series West Region
races are scheduled for A1 Raceway in Slidell, LA, Greenville Speedway in
Greenville, MS, Jackson Motor Speedway in Jackson, MS, and Whynot
Motorsports Park in Meridian, MS.
Penton Raceway in Penton,
The NeSmith Chevrolet Dirt Late Model Series National Tour will be
in action this weekend at Central Mississippi Speedway in Winona, MS for
the Mid-State Nationals presented by Kirk Auto Group.
There will be a 40-lap $2,000-to-win race on Friday night, and a
50-lap $2,500-to-win race on Saturday night.
Drivers that enter these two events will
receive 25 NeSmith Chevrolet Weekly Racing Series bonus points for each
event that will be added to their best 16 point night total in their home
region. NeSmith Chevrolet Weekly Racing Series drivers will be competing
for track points and a track point fund, as well as NeSmith Chevrolet
Weekly Racing Series Regional points and point fund.
The NeSmith Chevrolet Regional points are
based on the driver’s best 16 point nights, plus up to 150 bonus points
for competing in NeSmith Chevrolet Dirt Late Model Series National Touring
events.
The NeSmith Chevrolet Weekly Racing
Series Dirt Late Models are powered by the economical GM Performance Crate
Engines that are built and sealed at the factory to prevent any expensive
modifications. The 400
horsepower aluminum-head 604 engine costs $5,295 and the 350 horsepower
steel-head 602 engine costs $3,295 and gets a 150 pound weight break.
